Audio recording of an interview with Hector MacLean, Mallaig, on 9 April 2010. Hector tells how his family moved to Mallaig in connection with his father's work as a train driver and of his own childhood. He then worked in the railway booking office before leaving for National Service in the Royal Navy. On his return he became a purser on MacBrayne's steamers.
